A1 — Lesson 67: Reading — A special day at school

Today is a special day at River Park School. It is Science Day. In the morning, the students arrive early. The teachers are decorating the gym with blue and yellow banners. At 9:00, Ana and Tom are setting up their poster about plants. Ana is explaining how seeds grow, and Tom is showing pictures. Parents are visiting the stands and taking photos. At noon, everyone is eating sandwiches outside. Some students are playing soccer; others are practicing songs for the afternoon show. After lunch, the principal is giving prizes. Ana and Tom win second place. They are smiling and calling their parents. At 3:00, the students are cleaning the gym and putting away the chairs. It is a busy day, but everyone is happy.
