The López family lives in two cities. Carlos works in Mexico City from Monday to Friday. Laura and the children, Diego (10) and Sofía (7), live in Querétaro with Laura’s parents during the week. On Friday evening, Carlos takes the bus to Querétaro. The trip is about two hours. On some weekends, the family goes to Mexico City to visit parks or small museums. On Saturday morning, they have breakfast together, cook simple food, watch a movie, and ride bicycles in the park. On Sunday evening, the children pack their school bags. Early on Monday morning, Carlos returns to Mexico City, and the children go to school in Querétaro. Every night, the family uses video calls to say good night and share their day.
